La agricultura desde la economía: Aportes teóricos para un viejo debate

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un recorrido por las principales propuestas de estudio de la agriculturapara dilucidar nuevos campos problemáticos pertinentes en las realidades latinoamericanas. Las reflexiones de la economíaalrededor de lo agrario se configuran desde tres enfoques: neoclásico, institucional y crítico. El enfoque neoclásico sefundamenta en la concepción de las unidades productivas agrícolas como empresas. Según el enfoque critico buscaconciliar los medios y los fines de la economía general con la agricultura entendida como un sistema de tenencia de latierra, usos del suelo, conservación de recursos, fijación de precios, crédito agrícola, entre otros. Desde el institucionalismose encuentra una visión empresarial donde tiene relevancia la organización industrial, la teoría de juegos, como herramientasde análisis en la toma decisiones en la agricultura. Se encuentra que existe poca producción sobre el tema y se proponeuna definición que busca actualizar los estudios de las estructuras agrícolas.Palabras clave: economía agrícola, estructura agrícola, agricultura y desarrollo

The aim of this work is to carry out a journey for the main proposals of study of the agriculture to elucidate newpertinent problematic fields in the Latin American realities. The reflections of the economy around the agrarian issues areconfigured from three focuses: Neo-classicist, Institutional and Critical. The neoclassical is based on the conception of theagricultural productive units as companies. The critical vision seeks to reconciling the means and the aims of the generaleconomy with agriculture understood as a system of holding of land, uses of the land, conservation of resources, fixation ofprices, agricultural credit and others topics. From the Institutionalism there is a managerial vision where the industrialorganization, the theory of games, among other relevant aspects in the agricultural decision-making. It is found that littleproduction exists on agriculture topics in the economy and intends a definition that searches to upgrade the studies of theagricultural structures.
